I simply could not let your Saturday, “OUR VIEW” get by without a comment. I don’t know whether these gems come from local sources or from your masters at corporate. The comments on the alternative minimum tax(AMT) and Speaker Pelosi’s travel were characteristic of your paper’s style of distortion and/or misinformation. You seem determined to present skewed information. If you’d like more of a critique on that, ask us. It seemed especially ironic that your views should be expressed under the “First Amendment Quote of the Day” about truth and conviction.

Of course it is and we all know it.  This country was once a bright light. We were the shining example of democracy. We were the land of opportunity, justice, and liberty. Many of those went away in the 80s and 90s. We still have some pieces of that glory. Lately, however, we are the big bully on the block to other countries and to each other. For those of you who remember Transactional Analysis, this will probably make you feel warm and fuzzy. You will remember the warm fuzzy fairy tale of the ‘60s.
