LOL means Laugh Out Loud. By LOL, I mean that if you believe that gas prices are high because of supply-demand issues, you're buying a song-and-dance perpetrated by Big Oil.   Let’s agree to forget about whether Global Warming exists or not. Don’t think about it for a while. Instead, let’s explore what else goes on under our noses as we grouse about Global Warming. For example, we are plagued by outrageous gas prices, increasing healthcare costs, falling median incomes, jobs moving offshore, increasing home foreclosures, bald-faced corruption and greed by politicians and big business. I happen to think that Global Warming is a major problem but I’m also convinced that Big Oil and our Big-Business-Government want us distracted by the hassle about it.

  Your article, “Herger justifies donation to Doolittle fund”, by Larry Mitchell, describes Wally’s reason for the donation. He was helping "a longtime friend."

  The donation came out of his campaign funds. How come he didn’t make from his own pocket for his friend? Is that a legal use of campaign money? I also believe that people deserve their day in court and can get help from friends. However, did the donors to Wally’s campaign give their money for court costs for his friends?
